Tulip festival

Tulip time in Pella Iowa! I took the kids down last Friday and was surprised by the thousands of other folks there. We had a good time, but we need to spend a whole day and bring dad next time!

There were the most gorgeous tulips! perfect place for a few kiddo photos!

There was some street washing before the big parade! Check out the littlest street sweeper!

zoo time!

I took the kids to the Des Moines zoo last week. Above Liam is feeding the fish. It kind of freaked me out, way too many fish for one little area, almost solid fish. I made sure Liam didn't fall in and become fish food! Below, Rosie slept through the zoo, but she needed a nap!

Look mom no training wheels!

Last weekend after riding his scooter all over, Liam told me he was ready to ride his bike without training wheels. He was ready to go fast enough to balance. And off he went!! The first day he did some runs in our driveway and then on Sunday we ventured across the street so he could have some open space. He is a natural. We are still working on smooth stops and starts but he loves it. He actually yells out "this is so much fun" as he is riding! Can't wait for family bike rides this summer, with Rose in the burley of course.
