We had a fantastic week at a cabin in northern Wisconsin. We biked, swam, canoed and went fishing and then did it all again! It felt great to literally unplug for the week. Luckily the big storm that went through Grinnell just damaged our fence a bit, but left the new deck and house alone! We got to spend time visiting with Steph and Mike and Steph's family, which helped make this a very memorable trip!
These are hodags, which are somewhat magical or mysterious creatures in Rhinelander. Liam loved them!
Yummy smore time! We had several nice campfires and you can see Liam had on a sweatshirt- we had awesome weather!
The little cabin is in the back and it sits on 80 acres that is just ours to explore- including two spring fed lakes!
After mini golf with Steph and Mike, Liam and Bruce hit the go- karts. They had the track to themselves!
We enjoyed a pontoon ride at Steph's parents home!

Bruce and Liam headed out fishing one morning and then got caught in the rain! oh well, the sun came out just an hour later!
The first dip in the long lake- so refreshing. I wish we had it here with us. We did tons of swimming and even got to watch bald eagles flying around as we were swimming.
